The first regional Human Development Report for Bashkotrostan launched in Ufa
On 9 June, the first Regional Human Development Report for the Republic of Baskortostan of the Russian Federation was launched in the capital city of Ufa. UNDP sponsored the production of the Report the same as the preparation, with the support of the Russian Government, of 12 National Human Development Reports since 1995. Experts from Moscow State University, involved in the production of national reports, provided consultations to authors of the Regional Report.
The 1st Charity tennis tournament of Kremlin Cup and the Foundation o the President of Russia Boris Yeltsin “Win together!” was held with UN support
On June 20 the 1st Charity tennis tournament of Kremlin Cup and the Foundation of the First President of Russia Boris Yeltsin “Win Together” was held.
The tournament was played among men doubles.
Maevsky Gennady and Dayludenko Oleg have become the winners of the tournament.
2nd place – Egorov Sergey and Kushkov Nalbiy
3rd place – Kozlov Dmitry and Novokshyonov Dmitry
Shomby Sharp and Karl Kulessa were awarded with the consolation prizes as the winners of the additional tournament.

ILO SAYS JOB LOSSES ARE INCREASING DUE TO ECONOMIC CRISIS
GENEVA (ILO News), 28 May 2009 –The International Labour Office (ILO) today issued new labour market projections for 2009, showing a further increase in unemployment, working poor and those in vulnerable employment.
In presenting the new data, ILO Director-General Juan Somavia, said the ILO’s annual International Labour Conference, to be held in Geneva on 3-19 June, was to consider an emergency “global jobs pact” designed to promote a coordinated policy response to the global jobs crisis.
