As part of his official visit to Russia on April 21-23, 2011, UN Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-moon visited the Centre for Curative Pedagogics in Moscow where the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has been implementing its project on social inclusion. Today, social inclusion, which envisages the possibility to secure for every child equal rights to education, development and social participation, is one of priority areas of international politics.

21 April 2011, Moscow - United Nations Development Programme in cooperation with the Institute of Contemporary Development and NCSF with support of the Strategic Program Fund (UK), All-Russian public organization "Business Russia”, and EC/TACIS project “Support for Kyoto Protocol Implementation” will conduct international conference “Market Mechanisms of Climate Policy”.

Building on the success of the 2010 competition on the Millennium Development Goals (WeCanEndPoverty), for which over 2,000 ads from 34 European countries were received (finalists.wecanendpoverty.eu/), our 2011 competition focuses on gender equality and an end to all forms of violence against women and girls.
