TRIPARTITE DECLARATION ON HIV/AIDS AND THE WORLD OF WORK SIGNED IN RUSSIA

MOSCOW, 13 January 2006 (ILO News) – The Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development, the Coordinating Council of Employers’ Associations and the Russian Federation of Independent Trade Unions – parties to the Tripartite Commission on the Regulation of Social and Labour Relations – called to join efforts in the fight against HIV/AIDS and to collaborate in preventing HIV/AIDS at the workplace.

The UN Representative Office in the Russian Federation and ITAR-TASS news agency launch the photo exhibition “UN at 60 – A Time for Renewal”

We would like to invite you to the exhibition “UN at 60 – A Time for Renewal,” organized by the UN Representative Office in the Russian Federation in cooperation with ITAR-TASS news agency. The exhibition opens on 24 October, when the United Nations Day is celebrated each year.

This year we mark the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Organization, officially established on 24 October 1945, when the UN Charter was ratified by China, France, the Soviet Union, Great Britain, the United States and the majority of the states that signed the Charter.

UN Participates in the International Book Fair in Moscow

The 18th International Book Fair was held in Moscow from 7 to 12 September. Book market professionals from 54 countries of the world gathered at this major cultural event. Over 900 displays prepared for the participants were accommodated in two large All Russian Exhibition Centre (VVTs) pavilions.
